Pro: The top actually makes the cabin area smaller than the coupe, when the heater kicks in, it warms up faster than my coupes did. Ragtops are noisy, however, wind and traffic noise definitely are noticeable.
Con: Fuel economy. Never has been stellar for the two N/A's I have winter driven, coupe or convertible. In fact, I got basically the same mileage as the turbo in winter (no boosting, really). Prolly ~ 14-17 mpg or so.
Con: Plastic rear window... no defrost & scratches easily. Do NOT take the top down if it has been cold for a while... window will nicely crack in half. Fortunately, I had ordered a replacement top as the old one was pretty tattered anyway.
Pro: Predictable handling on Blizzaks or equivalent decent snow tire. Heavier car, tracks well and doesn't get squirrelly like my old S-13 did.
Pro: The reactions you get: "You bought a convertible for the winter?"
Pro: Still looks good, winter or summer.
